Chairman of the State Committee for Tourism Development A.Abdukhakimov met with the head of the pilot delegation of the World Air Sports Federation (FAI, Switzerland) Peter Blaser. The meeting was held to establish and develop cooperation with international organizations in aeronautics, organize events using air balloons in the cities of Uzbekistan.
A.Abdukhakimov expressed gratitude to Mr.Blaser for the interest in development and promotion of air sports in Uzbekistan. In particular, it was noted that active work is currently being carried out to organize events using air balloons in major cities of the country: Samarkand, Tashkent and Bukhara. In order to further develop this sport and conduct leisure, a number of normative legal documents were adopted on promoting the increase in the number of air balloons in the republic.
The visit of the delegation will promote development of aeronautics in Uzbekistan as a separate area of tourism and leisure, as well as diversification of services provided to tourists.
According to the State Committee for Tourism Development, the delegation of the World Air Sports Federation (20 people) will stay in Uzbekistan until May 1, 2018.
The program includes visits to Samarkand, Bukhara, Khiva and Tashkent.
